The Fleshtones in Pordenone: The Vindicators open the night
On Saturday 31 October the Capitol in Pordenone hosts The Fleshtones, the American band celebrating fifty years of career with a seven-date tour of Italy. The night will be opened by The Vindicators, the Bassano del Grappa band with Charlie Out and Stewie DC.
From New York, The Fleshtones are one of the great names of American garage rock, and live they have always been a party: the very spirit that inspired The Vindicators.
Who are The Vindicators
The Vindicators were born in Bassano del Grappa in 1986, right after Frigidaire Tango broke up, formed by some of its members as a project “aimed at pure fun” between rock'n'roll and rockabilly. Their name nods to The Fleshtones, who inspired their show: Keith Streng and Bill Milhizer took part in the sessions of the first album, That's All Rock (1987).
Roots Revolution (1989, C.G.D.) followed and, in 2012, the double CD Greatest Hits, with the best of both albums, four unreleased tracks and a live second disc. The stage has always been their strength: they played from Trento to Naples, opened several Blues Brothers shows and were guests of honour at Arezzo Wave, until the split in 1992 after 102 shows.
